What to Expect on Sundays

  • Birth to Kindergarten

    Childcare


    Childcare is offered during Worship services and Children's Sunday School Classes are offered during the 9:30 AM hour:

    • 9:30 AM Worship Service & Sunday School Classes
    • 11:00 AM Worship Service

    Pick-Up/Drop-Off begins 15 minutes before service/classes. Pickup no later than 15 minutes after service/classes.


    Rooms

    • Rooms 117 & 121 | Nursery: 26 months and under
    • Rooms 115 & 116 | Childcare: 2-3 years
    • Room 119 | Childcare: Preschool 4s & Kinder 5s

    Nursing Room Information


    We seek to provide nursing mothers with a private, comfortable space to nurse at FPC.

    The three areas below are set up for use on Sunday mornings:

    • Room 118 in the Children’s Nursery Area (see security door code on the first floor for entrance)
    • Sitting Room outside 2nd floor Ladies Restroom across from Westminster Hall
    • Bride’s Room (Room 228)
  • 1st-5th Grade

    Sunday school is offered during the 9:30 AM worship services.


    Pick-Up/Drop-Off begins 15 minutes before service/classes. Pickup no later than 15 minutes after service/classes.

  • Sunday School for Parents

    Sunday school is offered for parents at 9:30 AM. 


    Ambassadors: Families with Young Children


    Room 302 


    The Ambassadors class seeks to establish community with parents whose children are 5 and younger. This year we will be looking at “A Praying Life” by Paul E. Miller in conjunction with “Praying the Scriptures for Your Children” by Jodie Berndt. Please join us for discussion and fellowship all year!

Children's Music Opportunities

  • Children's Choir

    Spiritual Formation and Growth


    Children from Pre-K to 5th grade are invited to be a part of our vibrant Children’s Choir. This wonderful program offers:


    • Spiritual development and growth
    • Enhancement of musical skills
    • Personal growth through engaging activities

    Choir rehearsals take place every Wednesday from 5:00 PM - 5:45 PM in the Assembly Room (136). Following the rehearsal, a light dinner will be served in the Nutrition Center.


    Our Children’s Choir has the opportunity to perform at various special events throughout the year, including the Christmas Pageant, Christmas Eve service, Palm Sunday, and other worship services. Come join us for an enriching and enjoyable experience!

  • Music with Families

    Music with Families (Parents & kids 8 wks – 3 yrs)


    Enjoy a musical setting where you and your child can sing, rock, listen, bounce, and play instruments, nurturing their musical aptitude. Light dinner immediately following class!

If you plan to leave your child in the care of First Presbyterian Church, please make sure there is a Medical Release form on file. For your convenience, you can complete each child's medical information ahead of time and sign the release in person when you drop off your child.
